Quest Apiary Signs

In June 2019, I took a class called The Hive & The Honeybee all about beekeeping, bee biology, the environmental and cultural significance of bees, threats to bee health and much more. As my final project, I decided to rejuvenate the Quest University apiary through planting bee-friendly flowers, doing maintenance on the landscaping to improve accessibility and making two informative signs.

The purpose of the signs was to increase awareness of the existence of the apiary, guide visitors on how to behave around the bees and provide more information about honeybees. Ultimately, my hope was to make more people excited about honeybees and aware of their significance through giving people the chance to interact with the bees directly in a safe manner.
